The plan
- Gather at 2
- Hot chocolate and schnapps at my house.
- Gun at 3
- Sharply. Be there for this part. It’s important.
- Course
- One loop, no doubling back: Glos Memorial Park, down the middle of Wilder Park, through the college, Wilder’s garden path, home. 4.9 km / 3 mi. No St. Charles crossing.
- After
- Post race refreshment, award ceremony, party. Bring a change of clothes.
- Glos. North on Kenmore, left on Marion, right on Arlington, left on Park Ave into Glos Memorial Park. Follow the path through and out the west side to York.
- Wilder. Cross York at Adelaide, west to Cottage Hill, into the top of Wilder Park. Take the main path down through the middle and out at Prospect.
- College. Cross Prospect, through Alumni Circle and the quad, down the west walkway, east along the bottom of campus back to Prospect at Church.
- Garden. Into Wilder’s southwest corner and along the garden path at the bottom of the park to Cottage Hill.
- Home. Church east, right on York, left on Adelia, left on Kenmore. Finish at the splat.
You don’t have to run the 5K to enjoy the FC5K. Come late, come for five minutes, come whenever your work schedule permits.
Do I have to run?
Yes. You may be excused with a valid doctors note. Dr. Backas will be on site with a notepad. Be warned. He may prescribe a 5K.

Why
For anyone who doesn’t want to come or run because it’s cold or you’re tired – that’s the point.
We run the FC5K because the weather tells us not to. Because our bodies fight it with every cell. Because together we overcome, together we run.

FC5K V long sleeve (2022), FC5K VII (2024). Small runs, priority to those who run. Nueve shirt TBD. Ask if you want one.
